PROPOSAL FOR

The Don Pizza Co.

STEP ONE

Proposed Process & Offerings

WHAT WE CAN DO (1 VIP DAY)

  • Create a sales page for your Charcuterie offering on Squarespace (structure, copy & design). This will bring awareness to this offering and really sell it - giving your clients all of the info they need to be excited from the beginning!

  • Transfer the information on your current website to Squarespace and create consistency between both The Don pizza offerings and your charcuterie sales page.

  • Leverage your rave reviews and Instagram feed by adding them to your site

  • Optimize pages for SEO (Santa Fe and Albuquerque)

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • Optimize your presence on The Knot and Wedding Wire - leverage your reviews! On these platforms, the "best of" rewards are solely based on how many 5-star reviews you get in a year (typically 10). Having “best-of” awards shown on your account will increase your perceived value and trust.

  • Make new strategic partnerships - get to know every winery, distillery, and brewery in the area. Partner with them on events. Also consider partnering with art galleries that do events.

  • Find key "influencers" in the community and become their friend. An influencer is anyone with a reach of 1000+ – think of the moms or women who know everyone and are the real connectors in their communities.

Investment: $2500

STEP TWO

Proposed Future Plan

  • Develop a more distinct sub brand for the charcuterie part of the business

  • Continue to build out your website to include more detailed offerings, design, and SEO optimization.

  • Professional photos for The Don and charcuterie

  • Think about the entire guest experience — are there any other touch points that need to be created, designed, or refined to create a more holistic experience?

  • Physical assets for events — table clothes, banners, cards, etc.

  • Digital assets for promotional and nurture — email sequencing, social templates, campaigns, etc.

CONSIDERATIONS:

  1. We understand that things are tight right now. We can turn our first VIP Day into a half day to just focus on the charcuterie portion. However, you will have 2 websites at that point and have to purchase a new domain. A solution here is that you can go in and duplicate the charcuterie page and fill in the information for The Don so you can sunset your Wix site and have the Squarespace pages under the original domain.

  2. Creating a different domain/URL that is more encompassing - not just pizza. Will help you expand your business without confusion. You can still keep the URL you have now, we can just redirect it to the new one so you don't lose traffic from the original URL.

  3. I would think through naming the charcuterie side of your business. “The Cathy” is a really sweet idea that honors the different vibes of each offering. It opens up the space for you to tell the story of your parents — which people will relate to and gravitate towards. It also relates to the dynamic of each offering, how they are separate but also go together so well. Like a marriage. If you do decide to rename this offering, we can call it that name now without branding it to get folks used to it being called that. That way when (or if) you do rebrand it, it will make sense and work right away without having to do the hard labor of introducing it to folks.

WHY WE RECOMMEND:

SQUARESPACE

  • Squarespace is an extremely easy to use & learn, and is widely used by both novices & designers alike for its simplicity. They also offer a robust tutorial/help database & online chat support for troubleshooting.
No code needed here like you do on Webflow!

  • Squarespace offers the ability to host member areas & courses, online scheduling, registration & event calendars, create blogs, email newsletters, run an online store, send invoices/process payments, and more all in one platform. This is great for organizations that do not have overly complex offerings and have a desire to streamline their processes.

  • In the last 3 years alone, Squarespace has improved dramatically from “okay” to amazing. I am fully confident this will be a platform that grows with the times instead of becoming obsolete and clunky as many other site-hosting platforms have proven to do.

  • Many different services can integrate with Squarespace seamlessly.
